OneBlink today confirmed it had signed its first international Managed Services Agreement with US software/solutions vendor CivicPlus (www.civicplus.com). Under the agreement OneBlink will develop and manage a unique service (called CP Mobile) that allows users of CivicPlus’ Engage 5 web CMS to simply build, test and deploy native mobile applications that dynamically draw content from the CivicPlus CMS. The solution will also automate the typically complex process of preparing apps and app assets for lodgement in the various app stores.

The Managed Services Agreement is for a 5 Year term with options to extend past this date. OneBlink and CivicPlus also intend the CP Mobile solution to become the ‘mobile enablement engine’ for content from other CivicPlus software products.

CivicPlus is the dominant provider of ‘citizen engagement’ software to North American local government authorities, with more than 4,000 customers. Over the course of this agreement both OneBlink and CivicPlus believe that the vast majority of these customers will take up the CP Mobile solution as mobile grows to become the cornerstone of a municipalities’ citizen engagement strategy.

Darren Besgrove, OneBlink CEO said, "We have been working on this deal with CivicPlus for more than a year now and its very gratifying to see it finally coming to market. This ‘world first’ solution has completely changed the technical difficulty, time and cost of municipalities’ developing native citizen-facing apps, and we look forward to working with the market leader in introducing such a compelling solution to their many thousands of customers.”
